Man carrying Bovines shot dead in Bhaderwah, internet snapped, restriction imposed | KNO

Jammu, May 16 (KNO) : A man carrying bovines was on Thursday shot dead during midnight hours in Bhaderwah area, forcing authorities to impose restrictions in the area to avoid law and order problem. Sources told KNO that Nayeem Shah was carrying bovines in his vehicle who was intercepted by some unidentified persons. "The driver who seems involved in Bovine smuggling was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at Nalthi Pul area of Bhaderwah segment," an official confirmed to KNO. Earlier, the locals told KNO that incident took place in the intervening night of Wednesday-Thursday at around 02-03 AM, creating panic in the area. “Police had taken body of deceased into possession to start investigation into the matter," an official said. After the incident, restrictions were imposed while as internet was also snapped in the area. Meanwhile, an official told KNO that stone pelting took place in Bhaderwah town, which was responded by firing aerial firing to maintain law and order. "The over situation is tense," a police official said. (KNO)
